Acer compensates upgrade costs of Windows 8

Acer has announced that its customers will be reimbursed for the costs of upgrading Windows 7 to Windows 8. Consumers that purchase an Acer notebook between June 31, 2012 and January 31, 2013, will be compensated for the €14.99 (£12) of the upgrade. Acer wants to ensure that its customers use their new systems with the latest software, to provide the best user experience. Bla1ze noticed one model of it hitting the PTCRB database listing OS 2.0.1.668 as the OS at certification. there is no release date which RIM has also been coy about so far.
