For River Dell's 1,000-point scorer, team goals come first

Kate Brock is a two-sport athlete, but she didn't always think that way. "I've always thought basketball was my only sport," said the 6-foot-1 River Dell senior, who is an All-County volleyball and basketball player. Brock, 18, didn't start playing volleyball until eighth grade, but has come so far, she plans on playing at the next level. She is deciding between Stony Brook, Rider, Iona and SUNY Binghamton.
